Not only disappointed with DC at the moment, but Jubilee continues to be absent from the X-men line, brief cameo in Astonishing X-men aside. I’m not disappointed that she’s been clear of the cluster%#$* that is A vs X, but that she’s been taken off the table entirely since X-men #27 a few months back, reportedly so she can be “reintroduced with a bang”, just when she’d reclaimed a slot on the X-men after years in comic book limbo is more than a little disappointing.
She’s got something over Steph and Cass in that she still exists (for now, anyway) in Marvel continuity, but it’s not just DC that over-promote certain characters, notably white males, *coughDeadpoolcough*, while erasing or sidelining others.
QFT. Though at least Liu was all “Oh, Jubliee’s not in any other books right now? Interesting…” a few months back, so fingers crossed.
Brian Wood’s also stated an interest in writing Jubilee again. However, the impression I got at the time (and I forget where I read it too, so my memory’s kinda fuzzy), is that he’d like to write her, but editorial had taken her off the table for now. Which makes me go “Geez, you only just reintroduced her into the X-men proper.
There seems to be an attitude that because the sales of her solo series and more recently the Jubilee and Wolverine mini were less than stellar, that the character needs to be revamped (pardon the pun) yet again. But I’m not quite sure why they expect Jubilee to support solo series, but don’t have the same expectation from other overused X-characters. A Cyclops solo series probably wouldn’t set the world alight, but that doesn’t stop them ramming him down our throats in about a dozen books. Why isn’t Jubilee allowed to be a team player?

Well! Guess what, cool print news is here again because there is another cool print for you to get if you wanted it. I have smashed all of the hipster X-Men women into one print to assure that if you hate any one of them in particular you are forced to face that fact every day for the rest of your life! The print is 8.5x11 on regular old non-glossy paper.

My god I lined and colored this badly. Oh well, I just wanted to draw X-23 and Jubilee hanging out.
BRB squeeing with joy, no longer fit for human interaction
